I will start off by saying that Columbus County, North Carolina seem to be getting ready for the government run health care coming our way thanks to the socialist democrats. Our local newspaper The News Reporter in Whiteville, N.C. is reporting that the County Commissioners approved fee increases for many vaccines and yes medical procedures offer by the Columbus County Health Department. The County Manager said the county was charging far less than what Medicaid was willing to pay. So here you go people the commissioners increased the prices to come in line with medicaid prices. Do you get the picture now? I sure do! Meningococcal vaccine price increase of $27.00 making the cost now at $89.00 per shot. Tissue exam by a pathologist gets an increase of $11.00, chicken pox vaccine increases from $61.00 to $72.44. There was an increase for Hepatitis A/B of $15.53 making a shot cost they didn't say the total. If you didn't get the picture you should be seeing it well now. This is the way government lowers the prices on health care so if you have been led to think that a government run health care would be cheaper then you had better sit back have a cup of hot coffee or tea and re-think about it. While you're thinking about this don't forget that Obama's health care bill will cut the Medicaid budget by billions of dollars causing people to have less benefits.  Sixty percent (60%) of voters believe passage of the bill will lead to higher health care costs according to the Rasmussen poll. Is this health care what you really want?  If not you had better get on that phone to your elected senator!
